I got featured on the English Wedding Blog!
Back in March, I had the pleasure to be involved in a wedding styled shoot at Chicheley Hall with a wonderful team of creative professionals in the Buckinghamshire wedding industry. We joined forces to put together our vision of a romantic and whimsical wedding for the winter brides, inspired by the 20’s for a fun and creative twist!
We even set up an afternoon tea in the gardens of Chicheley Hall which is a trend I’ve been loving lately! Besides looking beautiful in a quintessentially British way, an afternoon tea is an amazing option for a relaxed wedding where a sit-down meal doesn't quite work, or for an early afternoon ceremony as guests can mingle and enjoy the afternoon tea (which means that you won't need to serve food again until the evening!). I absolutely love an afternoon tea wedding moment because it has a sense of elegance, luxury and playfulness to it that Lady Whistledown would approve of - and so do I as it looks so photogenic! (Pro tip: Lay on the table fresh pots of tea, and, for those who are feeling more celebratory, fill some teapots with gin-based cocktails that have a tea theme, such as rose and hibiscus tea martini or an Earl Grey gimlet - yum!)
It was hard work for everyone - especially shooting in the cold winter air - but we absolutely LOVE the results and we hope to inspire engaged couples to look into the idea of having a winter wedding as it can be so magical!
